The Vice-Chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Prof. E. Smaranda Olarinde, FCArb, FCAI, paid an unscheduled visit to the College of Sciences in the early hours of Friday, November 21, 2025, to assess the state of the college and reinforce the institution’s commitment to maintaining its status as a leading tertiary institution within and beyond Nigeria.
Prof. Olarinde was received by the Provost of the College of Sciences, Prof. Pius Okiki, alongside principal officers of the college, including the Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Oluwafemi Ogunmodede, Head of Computing Department, Prof. Abiola Oluwatoyin and Prof. Funmilayo Bamigboye, the ABUAD link for the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW).
The Vice-Chancellor thereafter embarked on a comprehensive tour of the college, inspecting facilities on every floor, including the computer laboratories, auditorium, gardens, and even lavatories.
