The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. E. Smaranda Olarinde, FCArb, FCAI, joined an esteemed assembly of dignitaries this weekend in a spectacular celebration of African culture, marked by elegance, grandeur, and a deep sense of heritage.
The event, meticulously curated by “All Eyes on Africa”—a foundation devoted to honouring the beauty, diversity, and legacy of the African continent, served as a vibrant showcase of its rich traditions, fostering unity among communities and rekindling a profound appreciation for Africa’s cultural essence.
In commemorating over 15 years of impactful initiatives, the grand affair unfolded on Thursday, February 27, and Friday, February 28, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, drawing a distinguished audience from across the globe.
“Africa is indeed blessed—from the richness of its soil to the purity of its air, from its resilient people to its breathtaking landscapes. It is a profound honor to be part of this extraordinary occasion,” Prof. Olarinde expressed with heartfelt admiration.
Meanwhile, the celebration witnessed a convergence of royalty, luminaries, and cultural icons, all united in a shared reverence for Africa’s past, an appreciation of its dynamic present, and an unwavering hope for a future brimming with promise and prosperity.
