Afe Babalola University Celebrates 15th Anniversary of Academic Excellence

Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), on Monday, 6th of January, 2025, celebrated its 15th Anniversary with a grand event highlighting its impressive achievements across education, healthcare, agriculture, and other critical sectors.

The university, which commenced academic activities on January 4, 2010, with an initial enrollment of 240 students, has grown into a global beacon of academic excellence.

The 15th-anniversary celebration served as a platform to honor the visionary leadership of its Founder, Aare Afe Emmanuel Babalola, OFR, CON, SAN, FCI.Arb, FNAILS, LL.D.hc, London, LL.D.hc, Unilag, LL.D.hc, Unijos, LL.D.hc, UNAd, D.Litt.hc, KSU, whose transformative vision not only shaped the university’s trajectory but also revolutionized the landscape of higher education in Nigeria, placing it at a vantage position globally.

While expressing gratitude to the founder, staff, students, and all stakeholders who have contributed to the university’s success, she added that the university is poised for even greater achievements. 

“As wine matures and tastes better with time, we rejoice today because we are confident of more feats and have promised never to rest on glories of the past” the Vice- Chancellor added.

In her address, the Vice-Chancellor of ABUAD, Professor Elisabeta Smaranda Olarinde FCAI, FCArb, expressed profound gratitude to the Founder for his unparalleled dedication and efforts in creating a thriving academic institution. She stressed that Aare Afe Babalola’s commitment to excellence has provided the most conducive environment for students, faculty, and staff to achieve greatness.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the institution’s impressive strides, emphasizing that ABUAD’s accomplishments strongly mirror the Institutions’ dedication to excellence and its impact on transforming lives.
