The mission of the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research Innovation & Strategic Partnerships:
“…is to develop and implement an innovative research strategy that fosters a culture of research-led education across every part of the University and promotes ABUAD as a world-class center for teaching, research, innovation and enterprise development”
This is achieved through:
- Working closely with the Vice Chancellor, College Provosts, Directors and the senior managementto develop and deliver the University’s medium- and long-term research priorities and aspirations
- Developing new state-of-the-art platforms to support research, innovation and enterprise development for current and future research centers at ABUAD
- Fostering innovative, multidisciplinary, and integrated research environment for ABUAD’s faculty, students, and staff by providing access to the many resources, guidelines, and policies that enable innovative research
- Establishing major research initiatives that can promote integrated scholarly activity, enhance research productivity and increase the external funding of research programs throughout the university
- Facilitating and maintaining local and international linkage, exchange programmesand executive training that are strategic, high quality, financially sustainable, and deliver societal benefits
Building and managing relationships with relevant governmental, non-governmental and private-sector organisationsand other domains, as well as providing academic and consultancy research services to current and future strategic industries
